Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to overlook the toll that your environment can have on your mind and body. But as the days grow longer and the promise of summer beckons, there's no better time for a little body TLC.

So, welcome to the scrub club. Body brushing is your first port of call to prepare your skin for when the trousers get put away, and the shorts are dusted off. Brush away dead skin cells, bring fresh blood and energy to your winter skin and get it fired up for summer.

Here's our simple guide to body brushing:

1. Use a bristle bath brush; the natural fibres are the perfect tool for dry brushing. We recommend using a long-handled brush such as the FD5 to get to those hard-to-reach places.

2. Start at your feet, then move up your body.

3. Increase and decrease the pressure where appropriate; dry brushing shouldn’t hurt!

4. Use circular motions or short upward brush strokes to increase lymphatic drainage and blood flow.

5. After brushing, take a cool shower to wash away toxins and dead skin cells.
