PRODUCT AFTERCARE

Caring for your brush correctly is the best way to prolong its lifespan. Regularly cleaning your hair, beard and makeup brushes is not only beneficial for the health of your hair and skin but also to prevent the build-up of product, oil and dirt within the bristles.

A clean brush is a happy brush – so follow our care instructions below to find out how to clean your brush correctly.  Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Care team.

Handmade Brushes/Bristle Brushes/Gold Pin Brush/Classic Shine/Beard Brush

  • Comb out loose hair from the hairbrush base using our L PC3 hairbrush and comb cleaner.
  • Fill a bowl with lukewarm water and add a little shampoo or mild detergent. Insert the brush, bristle down, ensuring that the water does not reach the wood (Great care must be given to ensure the wood does not get wet).
  • Ensure the hairbrushes are not submerged in the water.
  • Gently wash the bristle tips to ease away any oil and dirt.
  • Remove the brush and shake off excess water.
  • Place the brush with the bristle pointing downwards on a level surface, then allow the bristle to dry naturally.
  • Please do not put onto any heat source or in direct sunlight.

Handmade Combs

  • Wipe clean with a cloth.
  • To ease away any oil or dirt, use a soft toothbrush to gently brush each comb tooth.
  • Allow to dry. Please do not put onto any heat source or in direct sunlight.


Makeup Brushes

  • Taking the time to clean your makeup brushes properly is essential. Bacteria, dead skin cells, oil, and dirt can get trapped within the fibres, so try to clean them regularly.
  • First, wet the bristles with lukewarm water. It is important that you do not submerge the handle of the brush. 
  • Apply a small amount of gentle cleanser like baby shampoo or a dedicated brush cleaner to your palm or brush cleaning pad, and swirl the brush tip in the cleanser to create a lather.
  • Finally, rinse thoroughly under warm water, gently squeeze out excess water, reshape the brush head, and lay flat to air dry completely. 
  • Please do not put onto any heat source or in direct sunlight. 


Quill Brushes

  • Comb out loose hair from the hairbrush base using our L PC3 hairbrush and comb cleaner.
  • To ease away any oil or other material wipe quills individually with a cloth.
  • Ensure the hairbrushes are not submerged into water.
  • Allow to dry. Please do not put onto any heat source or in direct sunlight.


Shaving Brushes


Nail Brushes

  • Rinse suds off in lukewarm water. Gently shake off excess water.
  • Store bristle down.
  • Do not put onto any heat source or in direct sunlight.

 
Sonik Toothbrush

  • Wipe down after use. Do not immerse the base of the toothbrush in water, as this may damage the charging contact.
