The round hairbrush is filled with BioniFil®.

BioniFil® is a highly specialist synthetic fibre designed to mimic the structure, properties and functionality of natural boar bristle without the use of animal products. Sold in 100% recyclable packaging.

Seems to do the job

This was a replacement for a natural bristle brush of the same style, that I'd been using for 15+ years and as rapidly shedding bristles. Currently I'm well pleased with the new one. Maybe I should review again in 15 years time!
