This brush is beautifully made, with lovely weight and handling when brushing (long hair). And, the bristles are exactly what I was hoping for–stiff and long enough to reach my scalp, if wanted, but not painful at all when they do scrape across, just a lovely scratch. I wasn't sure if I should get the softer blond-coloured brush, thinking this one would be too stiff. But, it has turned out to be perfect. I have dark blond hair that is of moderate shaft thickness and abundance, and the hair is soft, not wiry, medium strength. The brush removes tangles very efficiently, does not seem to break my hair.

Having suffered with hair breakage for some time, I looked into what steps I could take to improve things. One of the easiest remedies was to buy a decent brush - I was still using an ancient plastic-toothed brush. My Googling led me to conclude that a boar bristle brush was what I needed, and further Googling led me to the Kent brushes.

Oh my word, what a difference in only two weeks! My hair is now incredibly soft and shiny, frizz has reduced , and I'm sure the amount of breakage has reduced. Surprisingly it also seems to have reduced greasiness, presumably because of the way the bristles help to distribute the sebum throughout the hair.
