With the hustle and bustle of the festive season behind us, let’s look at how we can take a more considered approach to wellness and purchasing in 2025.
Caring for the products you have, whether new or old, is one of the most sustainable practices you can implement. Whether you choose a Bristle and wooden brush such as the LS1 or LS17 that are completely bio-degradable or even a plastic brush, caring for your brushes will not only extend their lifespan, which is environmentally positive, but a clean hairbrush is much better for your hair.
So, buy once, buy right and let’s get the most out of our brushes. Follow our simple guide below on how to clean and care for your brushes so you can continue to use them for years to come.
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR HAIRBRUSH
Use the L PC3 to lift old hair from your hairbrushes. Next, soak the quills of your brush in warm, soapy water to remove dirt and oil (do not fully submerge); you can give them a gentle rub to lift away the dust and dirt. Finally, with the quills facing down, leave to dry naturally. Read more about our hairbrush and comb aftercare HERE>
BRINGING NEW LIFE TO VINTAGE BRUSHES
We believe in quality over quantity and have long shared our commitment to craftmanship. Did you know Kent Brushes is one of the only companies in the world that have the craftsmanship to replace the bristle in antique hairbrushes? We believe these vintage brushes should be celebrated and continue to be used. By replacing the bristle, we can take something old, make it brand new, and bring life back to your heirloom items.
